Religious Discrimination
Reasonable accommodation should be made to allow individuals to observe their established religious holidays. Such accommodation, in the case of a student, might be the rescheduling of an exam or giving a make-up exam, altering the time of a student's presentation, releasing a graduate assistant from teaching or research responsibilities, etc. With regard to employees, such accommodation will depend upon the nature of the observance and the reasonableness of the requested accommodation.
It shall be the responsibility of the person requesting the change to give the appropriate individual sufficient advance notice to allow for appropriate scheduling.
